LLaMA is a large language model that was created in the hopes of advancing research related to the subject of AI. BYU has no current contract with Microsoft for the private use of Copilot.

Meta freely releases all code and data associated with LLaMA. This is done in an attempt to enable researchers to learn from LLaMA. For that reason, please continue using BYU's privacy guidelines regarding this service.

Developer

LLaMA 1 released 7, 13, 33, and 65 billion parameters. LLaMA 2 released 7, 13, and 70 billion parameters. A LLaMA API is also an available option. Because the LLaMA code is available, developers can use existing APIs or create their own. Code LLaMA is also an available model as a developer-oriented version of LLaMA 2. The LLaMA 2 model itself is free, but pricing varies when accessing the LLaMA model through other services.
